Promotions & Discounts Part 1

  • Use Money Central from the Setup menuitem in the top ribbon and choose the discount tab
  • The three primary types of Promotion groups are: Quantity Discount Methods, Promotion Codes, and Order-wide discounts
  • Promotions can be based on sales groups for products or on customer groups
  • Promo codes is the most popular and easy to use method
  • Many ways to define a promotion including usage parameters and limitations as well as expiration date
  • Percentage discount or fixed amount discount
  • Designate certain products qualifying for promotions
  • Target special customer groups such as VIP or Wholesale customers (you define)
  • Target domestic, international, retail or wholesale as an example
